Four places you should visit at least once in your life

Exploring amazing bucket list destinations around the world

The world is full of beautiful and fascinating spots to visit, experience, have adventures and collect memories.

However, with so many options available to the modern traveler, deciding where to go can be a difficult and daunting task. With this in mind, we have compiled a list of four of the world’s most beautiful locations, that you should definitely visit at least once in your lifetime.

New York City

Ahhh, New York. The Big Apple is a vibrant, busy, and fun-loving city full of adventures and cultural landmarks for travelers of all age groups, and attracts millions of visitors each year.

Whether you’re scaling the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty, roaming the streets of Brooklyn, or exploring the amazing art collection at the MoMa, New York is a must-visit destination. Make sure to experience the city on foot, to soak up the unique atmosphere.

New York is also renowned for having one of the best culinary scenes on the East Coast and, as such, has become an up-and-coming hot spot for foodie travelers. If you’re passionate about food, you’ll love New York. The original Brooklyn pizza, bagels, pastrami sandwiches, and delicious ice cream are among the highlights you should sample on a food tour of New York.

Rome

Rome is one of the most scenic and historic tourist destinations in the world. The capital and epicenter of one of the most powerful ancient empires of all time is a fantastic place that looks as though it belongs in a history book.

The Eternal City is full of stunning attractions. From truly epic ancient monuments and archeological parks, to world-class art collections and the splendor of Vatican City, it is hard to pick a favorite.

Rome is also a dream destination for Mediterranean food fans. The city boasts a truly diverse food scene, from traditional trattorias offering famous Italian dishes to avant-garde restaurants serving one-of-a-kind delights. If you are a foodie and do not have the time or the resources to identify the best places to eat in the city, a food tour of Rome might be the right call for you.

A food tour will reveal hidden gems which you most likely would have visited on your own – the insight of local guides makes all the difference! A food tour of Rome is also an amazing way to meet new people while exploring the sights and learning about the culture of the city, especially for solo travelers.

Macchu Picchu

Macchu Picchu might be one of the most beautiful, magical, and interesting places on the planet. Located in Peru, near the city of Cuzco, Macchu Picchu hosts an ancient Inca site on top of a mountain above the Sacred Valley.

The location offers amazing panoramic views as well as great insights into ancient Incan history. The site dates back to the 15th century, but has been restored many times since then. You can get to the ruins by bus or climb all the way up via the Inca Trail – an adventure which could take up to five days!

If you are making the trip to Peru, you should aim to explore as much of the country as possible, from the Pacific coast full of white-sand beaches, to the capital city of Lima, which is the country’s most historically dense area thanks to its abundance of landmarks.

The Great Barrier Reef

The world’s largest coral reef, located right off the coast of Queensland, Australia, is a breathtaking natural wonder and undoubtedly a must-visit travel destination. The Reef, which can be seen from space, attracts millions of tourists each year, offering visitors a wide range of underwater activities, and is considered the #1 diving spot in the world.

The Great Barrier Reef is made up of a unique combination of reef systems, tropical islands, golden beaches, aquatic animals, and coral cays spanning over 1,400 miles: a true feast for the eyes. Unfortunately, however, the reef is beginning to disappear due to the effects of climate change.
