PREMIERE: Freudian Slurp Release New Single “I Dream Of Jammie”

Recorded live in front of an audience in the Chapel Performance Space in Seattle, band stresses groove, musicality, and improvisation over a palette of cinematically influenced instrumental jazz and rock.  The music has been compared to older fusion, like Chick Corea or Weather Report, as well as newer fusion in the vein of Kneebody and Snarky Puppy.  Their music always strives to tell a story or paint a picture and none of this is better captured that on their newly released single “I Dream Of Jammie”, which we are pleased to premiere today.

About the song, Ian comments “I Dream of Jammie is a bouncy, Latin-tinged theme with a goofy name to match.  Our bass player, Dylan Hughes, came up with this song while dreaming one morning and wrote it out upon waking.  It features some tasty grooves from the whole band, as well as fiery solos from our keyboardist, Jon Goneau, and trumpeter, Adam Robb. We recorded and filmed this live in front of small audience at ‘The Chapel Performance Space’ in Seattle”
